Description:
These classes are based in the tradition of Ashtanga yoga as a practice in mindfulness. Modifications, adjustments and one on one assistance focus our unique style to fit the needs of each person on their path.  It’s like having a private within a guided class.  Angie and Christine have almost 20 years of teaching combined.

Angie and Christine have practiced together since they quickly became dharma sisters setting off to travel to India and study Ashtanga yoga with Guruji, Sri K Pattabhi Jois. Along their journey they have found a teacher in Michael Stone whom connects the practice of mindfulness in daily living through classical yoga and Buddhism.  Angie and Christine love teaching together and continue to practice and grow with each other.  We share common values that yoga should bring openness and not enhance ridgidy that brings a warmth of energy and love to this beautiful and engaging practice.
Samana Vinyasa Yoga is not a brand, the name is a way of clarifying intention. Samana is the word describing the vayu or energy that travels to and from the core. Vinyasa is what is meant by mindful moving in sync with the breath, the gateway between the body and our consciousness. Yoga is the union of our selves, our community and our deeper connection to this planet.
 
These classes will empower you deeply to truly feel your body and gain strength as well as allow you to connect with the calmness and mindfulness that is needed for peace of mind and better health.
The path is yours, you choose it! When you show up with the desire to awaken, life unfolds into love and kindness towards all beings.
